Kyalami Preparatory School is an independent, co-educational community based school situated in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg. Our aim is to assist every pupil to achieve to their full potential in every aspect of school life. All pupils are encouraged to participate in our wide range of cultural and sporting activities, in which both the development of natural talent and the value of participation for enjoyment is emphasised. We strive to foster a sense of self-worth, respect for the feelings and rights of others, a love of learning and sense of social responsibility. The nurturing of core, traditional values plays a central role in school life and is promoted through our Core Values Programme.
The school's PTF (Parent Teacher Forum) is made up of a dynamic group of both parents and a few teachers, who give up their spare time to make a difference in the children's lives. They are not simply a fund-raising committee, but rather a group of individuals who use their contacts and resources to give back to the school in a way that benefits both the school and the children.
The PTF activities have resulted in the funding of the school bus and a new jungle gym, as well as many fun activities for the children. Their objective is to add value within a sociable environment.
All parents are encouraged to join, however, if you are unable to dedicate your time, the PTF would welcome any other assistance that you may be able to offer.
